Tooth powder

I have stopped using tooth paste for a year now because it's bad for you. PERIOD. lol

Most contain not-so-good ingredients like Fluoride, Glycerin (ok for skin not for teeth), Titanium Oxide (to make it look white), Sodium Lauryl Sulfates... Read more here

I tried all sorts of natural toothpaste and DIY ones and didn't fall in love until I found tooth powder!!

I cleaned my teeth 3 times a day when I first made this as I was so amazed at the freshness of my breathe and how cleaned my teeth was!! My 3yo and 5yo also uses this with no issues. They did fuss a bit at the beginning.

Recipe follows:

Store in air tight flat container.

To use wet tooth brush and dip in powder.

Bentonite clay 4 Tbs
Cinnamon 1 tsp
Clove powder  ½tsp
Tumeric powder 1 tsp
Stevia powder 1½ tsp
Activated charcoal ¾ tsp
Choice of essential oil: peppermint, frankincense, myrrh oil etc  10-20 drops

Additional ingredients you can also add Himalayan salt and baking soda but I don't like the taste of it so I omitted it.

Adapted from original recipe: http://www.mommypotamus.com/tooth-powder-recipe/

MAKE YOUR OWN. Takes less than 5 mins chucking in some powder together ;)

Remember to store it in a air tight container or it will get lumpy over time. If scent fades over time add a few more drops of essential oils in and voila just like a new one again :)
